Oracle Java Cloud Service is a part of the platform Service offerings in Oracle Public Cloud Services. It provides a platform for developing and deploying new or existing java EE applications.
It’s built on open standards so that java applications are easily deployed and managed. The Java Cloud Service offers dedicated virtual machines to develop and deploy your applications with pre-configured WebLogic Server software.
This service offers:
- Dedicated virtual machines
- Pre-Configured WebLogic Server software
- Automated cloud tooling for administrative and lifecycle such as patching, scaling, backup…
Standard version includes:

The Oracle Java Cloud Service instances are provisioned in an identity domain that corresponds to your Oracle Public Cloud Services account. An identity domain controls authentication and authorization to your instances, so you don’t have to worry about other users gaining access to your environment in the cloud. You can provision a complete Oracle WebLogic Server software and virtual machine (VM) environment in minutes, and immediately start deploying or developing your applications. When you create a Java Cloud Service instance, you also have a Storage Cloud Service instance and Database Cloud Service instance.
As a part of the Oracle Cloud Service, Java Cloud Service is highly integrated with other Cloud Services such as:
- Oracle Database Cloud Service
- Oracle Developer Cloud Service
- Oracle Messaging Cloud Service
- Oracle Storage Cloud Service
